Unintentional Slacking
Aug 29, 2010
I owe all of you an apology. Slacking is slacking, regardless of whether it is intentional or accidental.
Every time my household has moved, I’ve managed to pack SOMETHING into a mislabeled box and it’s taken me too long to fish it out and put it where it needs to be.
This move, it looks like that something was my writer’s work ethic.
The pauses between posts have been far longer than I normally consider acceptable, and that ends this week.
The next installment will be posted on Tuesday, along with a traditional Choose poll. Scout’s honor.
Additionally, I am focused on bringing this particular story arc to a close, completing Choose Volume 2 and getting that available for purchase before the end of the year (just in time for the holidays!).
I’m planning on at least two more Choose story posts before this arc wraps up, but I wouldn’t be terribly surprised to see that number climb as I make sure all of the story threads are neatly tied off.
FURTHERMORE, there will be an ENTIRE surprise story arc in the print version that wasn’t posted online.
This isn’t just a gimmick to sell books – I think I’ve done a poor job keeping the excitement alive during what was supposed to be a short pit stop before our characters reached Bespin and I want to go THERE as soon as possible.
However, while Remora and Jinn have been playing with Dresl on Helion, our other heroes haven’t been sipping fruity drinks topped with little paper umbrellas. Hank, Bones, and Hackwrench are in their own particular pot of hot water, and I’d like to share that story with all of you.
Things ARE moving forward in the Choose universe.
I have not forgotten you, nor do I intend to continue letting the weeks fly by without making sure my writing commitments are fulfilled. Thank you for sticking with me, and I hope you’re as excited by the new developments as I am!
Nobody? Beuller?

So … either that was a really crappy poll, or everyone’s even busier than I’ve been lately.
I’ll go ahead and write the next bit – tomorrow, assuming a root canal doesn’t drain me of my will to write.
If you have any last-minute suggestions, do feel free to toss them out. Otherwise, I shall learn my lesson and not do any more open-ended polls like that. =]
Gallery

Holy buckets!
I just realized I did a thing before the move and then forgot to tell you guys!
On the advice of Iris, I made a GALLERY page for Choose! It is accessible via the top row of buttons on the site.
Check it out, it’s got some pics of Choose “In the Wild” and some concept sketches from an artist I’m commissioning for some extra goodies in the print version of Volume 2.
If you have a print copy of Choose and want your photo up there, please, share!
tami@tamimoore.com Email me and I will oh-so-squeefully add them!
