New poll up! I’m too braindead to come up with a proper plottish poll this week. What flavor of tea does Remora drink?

New poll up! I’m too braindead to come up with a proper plottish poll this week. What flavor of tea does Remora drink?

Remora is a no-nonsense kind of girl; black, sugar (1 lump) and cream.

*grins* Oh, this poll is gonna be FUN. I can’t wait to hear the reasonings behind the votes!

She may be “no-nonsense”, but she has a taste for adventure and excitement. I went with Orange Spice.

@Josh
I’m seeing this as a fencing match.
Aha, a parry!

I went with Snozzberry… she needs something whimsical! For just about any other character I would have gone with Earl Grey, Hot as a nod to Picard but that’s just too… plain for Remora. She’s rebelling against her rich family and, in my head, has been doing so for a long time. Ordering strange tea was probably a first step in that direction when she was a child.
Can anyone tell this story has sunk it’s hooks into my head?

@Lauren
*grins* Snozzberry is its own nod. “The Snozzberries taste like Snozzberries!”
But! On a more practical level, it was intended to be an option to indicate just exactly what you’d mentioned! *grins*
I love how much thought is going into this poll. <3

I see her having a really strong, spicy tea and almost went with orange spice…but the fruit threw me off. I might have gone with a spicy black tea, but she won’t sweeten it, so I went with peppermint.
It always makes my tongue burn.

Peppermint burns you? I need to hook you up with some proper peppermint tea!

@Josh Orange Spice was my second choice, but that seemed too…predictable; ergo, the black tea. Our girl is anything BUT predictable!
@Lauren Hmm…I do like your logic, and I agree with your assessment of Remora’s motivations. But still…Hank would say, “I bet she’s a Snozzberry tea girl. Humph!” Then he’d be taken aback once more by the “black tea, a lump and cream” order. :D

Makes me wish this voting plugin allowed you to change your vote if you wish!

Hmmm, well I think she’d drink Orange Spice. ^_^
It sounds like the kind of drink the gentry might like, and it’s an interesting drink and quite feminine.
Maybe there could even be jokes that her hair is that colour because she drinks so much Orange Spice tea…
Oh I don’t know XD It just sounded tasty :3

*giggles* “It sounds tasty” is a perfectly valid motivation for a vote!

I guess for me black tea and earl grey seemed a little too predictable for the social class that Remora is in. At least that’s the impression I have of those teas.
If I were given a choice personally between all those teas, it would depend on the weather.
We have yet to hear the reasoning of someone who picked green tea.

The Orange Spice must flow!

Aaand, there’s the clincher. If Orange Spice wins, I’ll call it Melange.

Great, now i have an excuse for trying out a new kind of tea, and after that i’ll put my vote in ;P
I do agree that Earl Grey or Black don’t fit with Remora’s style.

@Celinne
Which flavor of tea are you gonna try? *curious*
October 2nd, 2009 at 6:41 pm
Well i’m used to hot weather, so most of the time i go for fruit tea and served cold, just recently i tried a bit more of the black kind and hot (i’m currently on vacation in a cold place :P) but i don’t recall ever having the Orange Spice one so i’ll have one of those next time i get some tea to see what’s up ^^

My husband’s favorite orange spice is Bigelow’s Constant Comment (found in most grocery stores). If that helps. =]
