Last night’s poll closed after a neck and neck, nail-biting final quarter. Who comes to get Hank and Bones from their imprisonment?

The winner was “Remora”, with 10 votes. Close behind was “A new character” with 9 votes.

Since the voting was so very close, I’m going to satisfy both desires. It will be both Remora AND a new character who release our pirate friends.

Who will this new character be?

I’ll give you a few hints. His name is Jinn and he is none of the following : human, ticker, pirate, guard, wealthy socialite, or loan shark. His species was included on the poll to decide what the First Mate should be, and I had neither name, concept, nor plans for him until this weekend, when I noticed the “a new character” option garnering a lot of support and thought maybe I should have a plan in case that option won.

In other words, the results of this poll changed everything, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
